Review by hotel critic
As a marine biologist and scuba instructor hailing from Nassau, Bahamas, I appreciate accommodations that balance luxury with value. Hotel Ilion provides clean and comfortable rooms equipped with air conditioning and soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep despite being located on a busy street. The daily housekeeping service was particularly commendable. While the hotel lacks sea views, it offers affordability compared to beachfront options—ideal for travelers conscious of their budget. Breakfast was simple yet satisfying, and the presence of a fridge in the room added convenience for storing snacks and drinks. The Wi-Fi connectivity in lower-level rooms proved beneficial for my needs. the welcoming staff, especially Harris, made the experience enjoyable. Though the town may not boast a stylish atmosphere, the accessibility to local shops—the unusual prevalence of fur coat vendors being particularly noted—was intriguing. If you’re seeking a mix of function and affordability in an average setting, Hotel Ilion serves as a practical choice. By prioritizing budget without sacrificing comfort, it stands as a sensible option for all travelers.
